Screenshot of the RICOH Remote Field login page in Japanese. The interface shows a dark-themed window with the RICOH Remote Field logo and description. There's a room name field displaying 'Development Room', a name input field with 'Peary' entered, a password field, and toggles for camera and microphone. A yellow 'Join Room' button is at the bottom.

Context

Background

Ricoh began an incubator to develop web apps based on employee ideas to be released in English internationally.

Challenge

To make a design system and unified visual language for a unified suite of applications that are part of a family and draw from shared resources, as well as create branding for the sibling applications that is unique to each app.

Role

My role was to guide the design process, to take the ideas and translate them into actionable design decisions, to create the unified branding, visual language, design system and ultimately the UX and UI of each application, through working with stakeholders and UX research conducted with users.
